For more than 40 years, James Thomson has helped individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with wisdom, compassion, and practical guidance.
Jim holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Before entering the counseling profession, he served in pastoral ministry for ten years after earning a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry and becoming ordained in 1976. This unique combination of counseling expertise and spiritual understanding allows him to help people address both the practical and deeper issues that impact their lives.
Throughout his career, Jim has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, grief, and questions of identity and purpose. His approach is grounded in respect, empathy, and a belief that meaningful change is possible when people are given the right tools, support, and encouragement.
Jim is also the founder of Samaritan Heritage Counseling and Learning Center, where he develops educational resources, online courses, newsletters, books, and AI-powered tools designed to help people strengthen their relationships, deepen their faith, and live with greater confidence and peace.
As the creator of World Class Love, Relationship Guardian AI, Enough in Christ, and other educational initiatives, Jim is passionate about making life-changing principles accessible to people wherever they are.
Whether through counseling, teaching, writing, speaking, or digital resources, his mission remains the same:
To help people move from confusion to clarity, from discouragement to hope, and from tension to teamwork.
